Sign-In
Always sign-in BEFORE class at the front desk, just inside the entrance to SWERVE'S Private Training Gym. If its your first time at SWERVE we require you to fill out a release form prior to your workout, so please arrive 10 minutes early to do so. You may not begin class without having entirely completed this form, so if you come late, you'll need to use patience and fill it out anyway. Most classes are staggered with 5 minutes between, so there's time to settle in and get your spot in the studio. If you plan on taking two classes back to back, please sign in for BOTH classes before entering the studio.
Reservations
Our studio holds 40 students, and often classes fill completely to capacity. Reservations are ALWAYS required for Yoga Booty Ballet with Gillian on Saturdays at 10am. Please sign up on the list beginning at 10am on Saturday, 1-week prior, in person or call the studio and we'll be glad to add your name to the reservations list. Please remember that cancellations must be made by the Friday before class by 5pm (minimum 17 hours in advance) in order to not be charged for the class. Members may reserve on their class series. Non-members may reserve with a credit card.
Being On Time
Classes begin promptly at the scheduled hour. Please make an effort to arrive early. If you do come LATE, however, please be RESPECTFUL of your fellow classmates and your instructor and take a spot in the REAR. If you must leave before class ends, please notify your instructor before class begins, and do your best to slip out quietly, especially if Savasana is about to begin. Please DO NOT ENTER or EXIT DURING any portion of SAVASANA or MEDITATION.
Schedule Changes
We make changes to our schedule at the beginning of every month so look for them in person on the printed schedule in BOLD type. Each month's printed schedule will also appear on different colored paper. On the Web, you'll see our updated schedule for the following month as soon as we set it. Please call the studio to inquire about whether a SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR will be covering a particular class. SUBSTITUTES will always be mentioned in our voicemail recording.
Parking
If you live nearby; walk. Its a great way to warm up and a kind favor to the L.A. air quality. The lot in front has 16 spaces, to be shared by all of the businesses in the building. Metered parking is available on 3rd Street and on Sweetzer for $1 per hour, and free parking is available on Blackburn, weekdays between 9 & 6 for 2-hours.
Towel Service
We're happy to loan you small towels for every class. Shower towels are available for all Private Training clients during their session and for all Circuit Training Class participants while using the gym. Our shower, including shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, hair dryer, shower towels, etc. are provided for all SWERVE clients as a courtesy. If you'll kindly plop any towels into our laundry basket, we'll wash it for next time. Don't take it home--Okay?
Water & Thirst Quenchers
We've got 'em in our fridge, cold and ready to quench your thirst. Drink. Hydrate. Replenish. Its good for you. SWERVE offers Smart Water, a vapor-distilled, electrolyte enhanced fancy brand. We love it, but if you'd rather, we also have good ol' regular bottled water. Vitamin Water is offered as another fun and tasty thirst quencher fortified with vitamins and supplements in various flavors. All three are priced at $2. Good nutrition can make or break your workout. Famished? Try one of our many bars. Yummy and good for you, too. $2.
